  • Saraswati (also spelled “Sarasvati”) is commonly associated with the creative arts, inspiring and supporting writers, musicians and other artists.
  • She is known as the goddess of learning, knowledge and wisdom.
  • She is associated with speech, music, sound, mantra and AUM, the originating sound of the Universe. In this way, she is associated with the vishuddha (throat) chakra.
  • She is the consort and power of Lord Brahma, the Creator of the Universe.
  • Saraswati is also the goddess of a sacred river, and is associated with the moon.
  • She is associated with flow, such as the flow of rivers, creativity, wisdom and consciousness.
  • She is also known as Vak (speech).
