Overview

In this lesson, we introduce knee flexion passive range hold, a technique for settling into your deepest available knee bend and holding it without active effort.

Objective

Understand how to safely access and maintain end-range knee flexion using gravity, props, or body weight.

What You'll Get

What You'll Get: You'll learn to relax into deep knee flexion and stay there, giving the joint time to adapt. This is the foundation for later building strength in that range. In your practice, it helps you prepare for deep squats and kneeling poses. If you teach or treat clients, it's a baseline assessment—you need to know what the knee can passively do before you ask it to actively control that position.
