Question for Ashtanga teachers: what do you write in your notebook during Mysore class? I’ve noticed that in several studios I practice at, teachers often have a notebook in the corner and jot things down during the session. Are you noting which new asanas you’ve given to students, tracking progress or injuries, or is it simply an attendance thing? Curious ashtangi

Well, this one is typically writing down notes later. I’ve been using my collection of resources to facilitate student growth. I spend at least an hour most days organzing notes on students and followups, which include looking through this collection of resources for things to help with their practice. So, I dunno what you’re teacher is jotting down, but thats what this one is doing! I also have a whole intake template I work with when assessing a new client. To be honest, we didn’t have the tools I needed in this profession, so I made them.
