Last updated: May 28, 2026. This policy explains what Ashtanga Tech (“we,” “us”) collects through the ashtanga.tech website and the Ashtanga Tech mobile app, and how we use it.

Who we are

Ashtanga Tech is an online Ashtanga yoga membership run by Michael Joel Hall. Contact: michael@mjh.yoga.

What we collect

Account information — your name, email address, and (if you opt in to text reminders) your phone number.
Practice data you create — vibe check-ins, practice journal entries, and scrapbook posts you choose to log.
Payment information — processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
Push notification identifiers — when you use the mobile app and allow notifications, a device token is registered with our notification provider so we can send you practice reminders.
Usage analytics — anonymous, aggregated usage data to understand how the site and app are used.

How we use it

To provide your membership: classes, courses, coaching, and your practice logs.
To send the reminders and check-ins you opt into, by email, text message, and/or app push notification — each of which you can turn off at any time in your preferences.
To process payments and manage your subscription.
To improve the service.

Service providers we share data with

We use trusted providers to operate the service, who process data only on our behalf: Stripe (payments), OneSignal (app push notifications), Twilio (text messages), FluentCRM (email), and Google Analytics (anonymous usage). We do not sell your personal information.

Notifications & how to stop them

Email, text, and app push reminders are opt-in and independently controllable from your notification preferences. You can also disable app notifications in your device settings, reply STOP to any text, or unsubscribe from any email.

Your rights & account deletion

You can request a copy of your data, corrections, or full deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing michael@mjh.yoga. Account deletion removes your profile, practice logs, and notification registrations.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain records for legal or accounting reasons.

Children

The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted on this page with a new date.
