This course, titled “Exploring the Essence of Meditation” is an immersive exploration into the art and practice of meditation. Spanning eight thoughtfully curated lessons, the course takes students on a journey from the foundational concepts of meditation to more advanced practices, focusing on awareness, inner peace, and the transformative potential of the human mind and body.

Course Description:

Each lesson in this course is a step in understanding and deepening one’s meditation practice. The course begins by introducing students to the essence of meditation, guiding them through the various stages of practice with insights from renowned teacher Mingyur Rinpoche. As the course progresses, students will learn to cultivate awareness and manage the ‘monkey mind’—the restless, uncontrollable thoughts that often arise during meditation. Special emphasis is placed on the experiential understanding of the body and mind, recognizing the preciousness of human life, and embracing its potential for awakening. The course culminates with the practice of Open Awareness Meditation, a profound technique that emphasizes the art of ‘doing nothing’ to achieve a state of natural, effortless awareness.
